Fake DMC Stories

Disappointed | DeLoreanDirectory.comOver the past several years, the fake DMC in Texas (DeLorean Motor Company Texas,) has bullied, threatened, over-charged, and generally done a bang-up job of alienating their primary customers – DeLorean owners. They get away with this atrocious behavior for several reasons, but the biggest reason is this: owners are afraid of getting black-listed by the fake DMC. And it’s not just DeLorean owners who have been treated badly – fake DMC Texas franchisees have been bullied and threated as well.

The fake DMC has filed many lawsuits, and sent numerous ‘Cease & Desist’ letters in the form of communications from their attorneys, to direct emails from fake DMC management to small and large businesses, as well as individuals who want to create custom items for their cars – or who want to create custom items for other DeLorean owners.

Why does the fake DMC do this? Because they think they own our cars. They think that because they bought the remaining parts from the DMC factory, and have filed new trademarks using the original name, so they think they can dictate what we DeLorean owners do with, and for, our cars.

And so, it’s time to share YOUR stories, so that other DeLorean owners, new and old, can hear how badly the fake DMC has treated us – with the hope that they will realize that WE are their customers, and WE keep them in business – so that THEY will change their business practices and start treating us as more than just bank accounts. DeLorean Owners don’t want the fake DMC to go out of business – we want them to be a part of the community and care about the owners who give them lots of money. Until the fake DMC can prove that they deserve our business by changing their business practices, try to NEVER give the fake DMC any money – instead, support these GOOD DeLorean parts and service suppliers that DO care about DeLorean Owners.
